At the head of Loch Tay over the bridge from the picturesque village of Kenmore lies The Mains Of Taymouth, a 120 acre estate nestled in magnificent Highland Perthshire. Built in the 19th century and formerly the home farm for Taymouth Castle which is currently undergoing development into Britains first 6 star hotel.
The stunning courtyard buildings are now tastefully converted into luxury 4 and 5 star holiday cottages.
They are all equipped to a very high standard and include central heating, wood burning fire (except Bell Tower) and everything you could possibly need. The choice of cottages vary from the lovely cosy 2 bedroom Drummond Cottage to the extensive and luxurious 5 en-suite bedroom Mains Park Court with Finnish sauna chalet and hot tub on the deck.
The first tee of The Kenmore Golf Course is within a stones throw and reduced green fees are offered to our guests. “Perthshires Finest 9 Holes” lies between the Tay Forest Park and the banks of the River Tay on naturally undulating ground. Measuring 6052 yards, it is a real challenge and is always kept in pristine condition. (Clubs and buggies available from the golf shop.) There are many fine golf courses in Perthshire including neighbouring Taymouth Castle, along with Gleneagles and Rosemount courses both 45 minutes away. |
